About this blog

Contrary to popular opinion, being a sole parent is not a disease. We are not sub-standard parents. I hope to give my readers a transparent perspective of my life experiences.

I’m lucky enough to live on an island called Aotearoa – the land of the long white cloud. New Zealand is surrounded by beautiful beaches, breathtaking scenery and wild weather. (All header pictures are photos of New Zealand landscapes)

My journey into healing and improving my life began in 2008. Since then, I have devoted my time to being a super mum to my two precious sons while I study, work and volunteer for a sole parents group.

I write for my health and cathartic expression, and to hopefully inspire and empower sole parents.

* Recommended for mature readers (and thinkers) only.

    • Hey there 🙂 why thank you, you are kind! Wow, I’m honoured to be nominated indeed! I come up with these ‘little ditties’ (songs) all the time for the silliest of topics. Can’t believe you actually have paper plates. Still giggling. You made my day!!

      • You do realize I will probably be singing that in my kitchen really soon, right?? Lol!! Have a great day and I look forward to reading more of your posts 🙂

      • Hahaha Well I hope so! The paper plates won’t give you any acoustics though?! Awww! I should have recorded the wee melody that went with it… One day hehe Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence and have a swell day… 🙂
